Its interesting.
I take a ton of photos with my phone now. I just happen to always have it, so it works out.
I think you have a good subject here but, and maybe because Im not a huge fan of color selection, I think you went too far with it.
Also, I think you would have a stronger image if you adjusted the composition.
It feels like the tractor is the subject and its centered in the frame, and then all the color is drowning it out.

Corey nailed what I couldn't quite put my finger on the first time I looked at this image. The tractor (?) is pretty much dead center. Good timing for a link to wikipedia on the Rule of Thirds. Basically you picture a tic-tac-toe board on top of your image and try to have the focus where two of the lines intersect.

Probably would make a good discussion on its own. I haven't pulled out my SLR gear in a long, long time. For most of what I take pictures of the quality of my phone is good enough, especially considering I'm not planning on printing.

I've taken "model" photos with my ipod, but never go anywhere without my "real" camera. To me cell phone cameras are great when "cameras" aren't allowed.

But you must also note I have a lap, everywhere I go [grin]

She was taught the rule of thirds.  And I agree with Corey

Hi Torie! What a fun image this is! Smiley I can see what you were going for, so don't be discouraged by any of the comments. These guys have helped me learn a lot by helping me to see what I could've done better. With this image, I really want to see the details better. There's a really weathered fence back there that would make an amazing contrast with the leaves of the trees and the tractor. That big blob of nothing to the left needs to go, as it's just a black hole that sucks the eye right to it. Maybe a crop something like this:
