Amazon Cloud Player

Anybody else tried out Amazon Cloud Player yet? If you haven't it's a place where you can upload music you've bought, or store music you've bought from Amazon, and play via streaming. I've got it running on my notebook right now, but it works on my Android phone too and it's what I usually listen to in the car. Best part is that the music isn't actually on my computer or phone, but is loaded off of their site as it's needed.

Biggest catch is that there's no iPhone player. It's free up to a few gigs, but they don't charge for stuff you buy from Amazon.

And then there's also Google Music and iTunes & iCloud which I assume are similar.

Yup. I've been using it for a while. Smiley Most of my music has been purchased through Amazon, so it's been free for me. It's great. I love that I can redownload something from another location.

I still live to far out in the boonies to rely on a cloud storage for something I want on demand. A few miles in more away from the direction of Houston and data service is almost non-existent.

Not necessarily better, just different. It's a place to upload your music that you can then play anywhere. No limits on jumping around, replaying songs, or any of that. But it also only plays music you've bought and uploaded. So I do switch between it and Pandora quite a bit.

i heart radio is really pushing into this market. I played with it some and didn't like the interface.

another thing I use for photos but would work for music too is dropbox.com its a "storage" tool so you can put anything you want there. The cool thing about dropbox is I can create a "bill" folder and share it with bill then anything put in that folder we both will see.

Oh yeah, Dropbox is awesome. Up until about a month ago it was soft blocked at work. Not directly where a message saying it was blocked, but it just never connected. They've either dropped the block or it just stopped working, but either way I'm able to get to my dropbox from work now.

They have it blocked here too. Of course with my phone being a wifi hotspot and 4g available, I can get what I need if I need it.

i wanted to hear local radio weather (its snowing) so I downloaded the iheartradio app on my Dpad and although I didn't care for the web app the android app is sweet. Like it better than pandora.
