good job, I would think burning the background behind his head would add some contrast but might not work (I'm guessing you tried a dozen different background shades)

I like the shot.

Mike, I love the textures and character that you have shown. It is an awesome portrait, I think. I do wonder if the subject wouldn't stand out better if the background were a little more blurry, but not so much that you lose the effect.

Sounds like you have lots of stories to tell..

would "Stories to tell" or "Wisdom" or something work better??

Says what I feel about the photo when I have comment on the title... [grin]

Hair light looks a bit hot but I can't decide if its a good or bad thing.
