Looking at your exif, first you need to set your Compensation to zero and don't touch it, leave it at zero.
Secondly F13, can you not close down more, I'm sure you can.
On some other photos of it, I did and it was still too bright.

It was a very frustrating shoot. I had the f-stop at around 22 (I think) and just enough shutterspeed to blur the falls. Still to bright. I turned the shutterspeed to 1/250 and STILL too bright. All were shot at ISO 100. Tried messing with teh compensation. Still to bright. Flipped it to automatic, thinking the camera might know something I didn't, and still too bright.
Is there ever a situtation where you CAN'T shoot it?
Red? the clipping, or the red histogram.?
The clipping.

My old short zoom was had a 67mm thread - my new one is 82mm, which makes for a really expensive set of filters.

My new lens is the same way.
If I go visit friends in Port Townsend, will I have the same/similar stuff to shooot there?
Bring your noseplugs. Port Townsend is a paper mill town and the smell can be quite strong.

There are some GORGEOUS areas near there.
