Hm. Beautiful scenery, but I'm not liking the treatment you did on them. Have you tried cropping out that blazingly white sky?

I like the crops better. Another thing you could do pretty easy is replace the white with a blue sky. I'm thinking a  stormy sky would look cool.

The first photograph appears better to me, probably because it seems to hold in the creek nicely. The colors are nice, too.
