Content aware image resizing

I'll admit that I really don't understand everything that's said in this video, but the technology seems pretty slick.  The video describes a method of resizing images that looks at what's in the image to come up with a better image than simply cropping or scaling.

Ok, I'll admit, this is pretty old news but I thought it was good enough news to post about...

One of the guys that came up with this, Shai Avidan, was hired by Adobe in August 2007.  Hopefully that means it'll show up in Photoshop in the near future.
