The web has given me many opportunities for magazine and other commercial shoots that would take a dedicated effort and constant submittal to advertising agencies 15 or 20 years ago - they were the realm of the specialist. Fortunately assignments like this one I received from Cottage Life Magazine still pay well. It was an interesting shoot that involved a quirky subject. This man was famous in his own right for being the long time engraver of the Stanley Cup during all of the glory years of the Montreal Canadians and Boston Bruins. He has now settled into retirement and was commissioned to be the engraver of the Tin Man triathlon with it's trophy made from Tomato Juice tins.
The Magazine wanted a few different looks to pick from with one of the concepts they suggested being him holding the trophy over his head in celebration. Anne and I met on his farm while he was picking zuchinni.
