In between sets, this sky was a wonder to see.

Here's my Friend Traci Kenendy who was the opener for Major and Reid.
Yep, it was raining a lot, storms and then this dramatic sky.

Hi Mike.  That is a gorgeous sky.  I always have a hard time making a sky 'portrait'.  I can see a beautiful sky, but it never turns out quite good enough to stand on its own, like it needs some other visual element to lock everything in place or something.  This is very nice to look at though, you've done well.

As for the photo with the lady in it; it's also very well done.  I wish she weren't quite so dark, but the compositional elements are great.  Some things you take as you get them, right.

Good job on both of them.

Thanks Susie and Travis.

Travis, thanks for the heads up on Traci. It was either to pop her with the flash or go for what the condition was, I chose the condition because I HATE flashes.
I know, I wish she was somewhat lighter, O well,    Big Grin

...I HATE flashes...

OK, so maybe 'HATE' is a strong word, but I think I agree with you.  I'd have probably done just what you did because I'm not a big fan of the on-camera flash either.  Some people seem to do some wonderful work with it, but for me it's just never quite right.  I use my flashes all the time on light stands and with radio slaves, but I'm sure you probably didn't have time for such an elaborate setup here.

I really can't tell if it's the red fence or the rainbow, but one (or maybe both) of those elements sure make this image.

That's really good, although maybe the pinstripe's a little too heavy... it's overpowering Mike's logo/signature Big Grin ROFL!

You just want to see a "Deep Thoughts. By Jack Handy" skit scrolling over the first one. Does anybody even remember those?

Sarcasm, frustrating the clueless since 3000 b.c.

I did bring light stands for the two flashes, not wireless unfortunately, but, I did have no time to set up. This was quick, then we had to go back to the stage for the final act. I couldn't walk fast either, still recovering. hehe

Teqy how about a link.

Oh please, take that down!  Everyone seems to be grumpy with me lately.  This isn't going to go over well....

It's more like, I speak, and everyone rolls their eyes.

Mike you had off camera remote flash with you. Using your sb800 and commander mode the camera can completely control the flash.
