Darn you Netflix!

One of my summer projects, that I finally got around to, was wall mounting a TV that we've had for over a year. While I was bolting a wall mount in to studs and cutting out holes so I could fish wires inside the wall I figured I might as well get the TV hooked into our network at the same time.

And that's how I discovered Netflix. Well, I knew about Netflix. But it never had seemed like all that big of a deal to me. But I've now tagged about 20 different things to watch and am sitting here right now watching Star Trek - the one from 2009. Only thing saving me from getting absolutely nothing done is my notebook.

Even better, Pandora is outstanding. I've been using it for a while on my Android in my car, but having it on the TV routing through the stereo is even better.

pandora rocks! or swings or bumps or or or [grin]

Its great in the studio, ask a model "who do you like to listen to?" and punch it in.

hulu is another like netflix, and all major networks stream. As well as almost all the radio stations.

iheartradio is about to release a stream player as well.

I'm trying to find a way to record streaming video for play back when off line.

*sigh* Another reason I hate being stuck with satellite internet at home. Pandora on the phone is nice in the studio though. I have an 1/8" jack so that I can use the headphone jack on any kind of device someone might bring in to play music on.
