Dec 2011 Lunar Eclips

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......... *warms hands* Wow, what a cold morning to be out shooting the eclipse!

Well, the weather didn't cooperate. Up until 3am, it was perfectly clear, but as the eclipse started, so did the fog layer along the canal. Dang dang dang. Then, the winds kicked up. Anyway, here are my only images of the event. Sad

Dig the first one. Without knowing it's an eclipse shot I probably wouldn't have even noticed the red spot on the moon and it would still look good.

I read the moon would be very low in the western sky, too many tall trees so I didn't get out to shoot it.

Yep, that first shot rocks. I woke up with the intention to shoot the eclipse too. The clouds decided I should have slept in. All was not lost; took my wife to breakfast and shot a few sheets of 4x5 around town.

The first one does "need" a dragon flying across though....
