Something important to think about.

I often see portraits made from a too low point of view, especially portraits of women, made by men. It is not a pretty sight, looking up into some nostrils. But now the real reason: there is more attention paid to her obviously impressive bosom than to her lovely face.

Always a joy to see someones secret wishes. Grin  Grin  Grin

I wonder how women photograph their secret wishes.... Huh?

Good point Leen. but since I am so low to the ground, I must say that If you're infactuated with boobs you're going to shoot them no matter how "tall" you are. I'm under 5' tall and my shots don't say "titties" unless I want them to. (wheelchair)  do any of the photos on www.bobedens.com say "titties" or imply "short" ? My point is you're gonna shoot what you're drawn to, period.

Hm, interesting thought Leen.  My husband is taller than me and tends to get the up-the-nostril shots more than I do.  How thoroughly funny.

And for the record us women don't have any secret wishes, so there.

You'll love this.
I went to the grocery store with my wife, with it being 90 degrees, I went in. Of course they have no photo magazines but lots of hot rod mags so I'm looking through a  D-Spot magazine which seemed to cater to the tricked out jap cars, all the ads and articles were about going faster.

If it hadn't been across from a big wheel company ad that was studio perfect, I probably wouldn't have noticed but the girls face was out of focus, just a little soft. But the seam of her bra streatched over all those D's was sharp as a tack. Carried the book to my wife and said "Look how sharp her boobs are"

<< bad idea >>

I then very quickly explained how her eyes were out of focus and Karen laughed too. To defend the poor photographer her eyes had to be at least a foot behind those... um.. flotation devices.

OK Boys will be boys Party Time  Even at my old age- boobs are fun- just ask my wife.   HOWEVER! For a proper head and shoulders portrait without distortion with a good rendering of the face- the proper camera position is eye level or a little above- sometimes SSSSSSSSSLIGHTLY lower to de-emphasize a long nose.  Do that and let the other body parts take care of themselves.  BUT HEY!  For those with a nostril fetish-do your thing!

For those that are into butts- that's a totally different camera angle!

Anonymous or Ed (S)- whatever!  Huh?
