We have a bride that lovesloveslove the Funky.  Crazy Colors, Wild Processing, Wacky Locations.  Mom, hates all of the above.  So we shot it in extremes that we hoped would please both.

I love the treatment of #6, EXCEPT the splash at the bottom of the image. The lines of the splash are too smooth, which is distracting from the entirely crunchy/gritty feel of the rest of the picture.

I think #2 would work better if you got rid of the bright spot at the tip of her nose. I would also smooth that shadow on her left cheek/chin a bit.

My favorite is #1. Yes, it's a classic pose with reflection, but the composition with the veil and the rose is perfect.

Hey Bob, that was a fun one to do.  I found this "extreme color" tutorial on you tube, and decided to try it out.  This is the one she chose.  How cool is that?Huh? :-)

I love #3 and #4.  I can't decide which I like better.  Although they are all good these two stand out the most.
The lighting in number two isn't my favourite.  I have seen you do much better but the shot is so cute.
I bet her mom loves the first one.  It is very pretty and classic.

O.k. me dear, natural light source on #5? Mmmmmmmmmmmoi!!!!!!! love the short lighting. Mr Shapiro will spank you about the hands though.  Grin

I like the story of #1

#3-4 both are creative, I do like the colors on #4
The last one has a cool effect.

My nit, sorry Ed, it's a work in progress, taco bell dog needed the "Action" effect, erased back, the hair. Wink
The eyes of the bride need a bit of editing on the edges, still, nicely done on all images.  Grin

Cheers

Hi Mike.
Ok, ya gotta give me the long version here.  LOL.  I'm so stupid about a whole lot of things.
On 5 we used the Bob Dorn striplight on a Photogenic camera left.  What do you mean about the doggie?  "Splain it to me, and I'll see if I can fix it.  You are definatley the master when it comes to all things non human, so I'm listening!

Maybe he wants you to give the dog a tummy tuck?

The skin treatment is also on the dog's hair, anyway of erasing back.? How can I explain the look, it looks buttered.

Hehe, no treatment on the dog, just a shallow dof cropped in that direction.  I guess I could burn and sharpen it. :-)

OK, very beautiful work... again!

I do have some thoughts, however.

#1.  I love the lighting and composition, but I think her expression is waning.  By her smile, she looks like she's tired of you and forcing a smile.

#2.  I really think you needed that extra depth of field, the dog is a very important part of the story; but it's blurry clear to its far eyebrow.  I think the hands could be a stronger portion of the image as well if they were sharp.  Oh, and the highlight on the tip of her nose.

#3.  Too... suspense-thriller look to me.  I don't get the feeling of grungy or cool, just that there is someone in a mask with an ice pick is sneaking up behind her.  Honestly, I think the green color cast could be the culprit, I would try another color treatment.

#4.  Beautiful!  But I think either her waist has been 'pinched' just slightly too much (even for your style, and you know I don't mind that).  You might also try to take a little bit of the 'balloon' shape out of her torso so there is a better transition into her waist line.

#5.  This is probably my favorite of the series, but I'm used to being the outsider.  Two picks, she is looking too far to her side and showing so much of the whites of her eyes that you almost lose the irises, and her left hand seems to come out of nowhere (but that doesn't bother me too bad).

#6.  Nope, this is definitely my favorite one of the series!  I see an image like this and I want to go hit on her, and then run from the fiance' of course.

They are all stellar, so don't take this like I'm saying I could do anywhere near as good; but they do say it's easiest to be a critic.
