Hi Marian! How are you doing?
Thank you for pointing out the pink distraction to EVERYONE!!! LOL! Seriously though, I appreciate it, and it's easy to get rid of. Stupid little details, I should have paid more attention to them... as usual.
I appreciate the thoughts on the crop as well. Thank you.
As for the lighting:
I metered the back light (sun: 1/125, f/8) and then set the main 1 stop under it (flash with 42" umbrella: 1/125, f/5.6) which I also used for my camera setting. I then brought in a 40" silver reflector high and camera right to provide some fill light because the shadows were very dark. For the 2nd image, the main was 45 degrees camera left; for the 1st one, it was very close to center but slightly camera left in order to keep the groom's face from disappearing into shadow. I have actually had good luck setting my main the same as a backlight, however the sun was actually off the side quite a bit and coming through some trees and very close to setting, so I wanted to make sure I had enough 'punch' that the backlight would show up really good.
Thanks again all!
Travis
