Gift Selection

WOW!  It's been a month since anyone has post in this forum . . .

John and I have been friends for about 25 years.  We met racing motocross and after a broken ankle John followed me into racing bicycles.  He is now a 51 year old Catagory 2 racer.  The event that I photographed here was the Mount Holly-Smithville Gran Prix.  John raced in the 35+ class and was in the lead group for the length of the 35 mile race.  He spent all of his time working for his team mate (a better sprinter) and ended finishing sixth or seventh.  If he had raced for himself, he likely would have had a top three finish.  At the locations where these were shot, his group was doing between 30 and 35 MPH!

Two of these images will be given as a Christmas present (printed at 16x20) when I see him next week.  Only one image (the last) has been completely PhotoShopped.

I am asking for help in choosing which two to use.  And, before anyone asks . . . He pretty much always makes those faces while riding!

The first and last are my choices, though, the last has that slight edge.

Nicely BTW

I think you should use the last and the next to last. I think he'd like ones where he's first! Grin

I vote for the third or the last.  I like to see how he's fighting his heart out.

try cropping #1 into a portrait if it works it would be "in your face" enough to really work. #2 is also good but there isn't enough "drama" if the crop doesn't work, use the third one
