Google's getting better at indexing Flash sites

Looks like Google is working on indexing Flash sites.  There are a lot of photographers with all Flash sites (Winklet, Bludomain, FlashPalette, etc) that this should be really good news for.

Cool, I have steered clear of flash for a lot of reasons, and this is one of them (the other is that I am old school and don't "get it").

I refuse to go to Flash, since many people still don't use it. If you do have a Flash site, you really should have a non-flash page that is linked from your main page.

Search engine issues isn't the only reason my site is HTML.

The biggest issue for me is speed.  I don't want visitors looking at a "Loading..........still loading......ok, almost done......done......" before they get to one of my sites.  There's been research done that site visitors start forming opinions of a site within milliseconds, and for a Flash site that takes whole seconds before anything is visible on broadband that can be detrimental.

The other problem I have is that it seems like every photographer with a Flash site has music playing on it; and I hate music, or really any sounds; playing on a website - unless it's a game of course Cheesy Grin

Ditto on the music thing. Unless it's something I specifically wanted to hear it bugs me.

Sarcasm, frustrating the clueless since 3000 b.c.

My site has flash but very little and its fast. And if you don't have flash you pretty much don't miss anything.

I heard that you've got about seven seconds to "hook" someone before they browse away.

Music can be good... but only if I like it and I am not at work... so that's a narrow gap to hook me.

I hate loading sites... especially long ones, I am impatient and I assume my clients are even more impatient than I am.
