Hands and Wedding Ring PosesLibrary Thread

Susie, I had to look at #2 for a bit, I thought it was stolen from mine. LOL
I have one very similar, however, it's sepia and I brought back the "Silver" rings.

Yeah Mike, you caught me, I am totally taking your images! lol, actually that's really funny.

Travis, those are great ideas, thanks!  And don't worry about sounding rude, I know I need help with this area, that's why I am asking about it here.  I will check out the photographer you mentioned and see what I can do for next time.

Hi Susie.

I can't give you any technical stuff, but I really like Hannah's and also sh054.  I think they are great.  Even if his ring doesn't show in sh054, it is still a beautiful shot.

Well behaved women seldom make history. Wink

Thanks, I do think I get good shots when I just show the brides ring, lol.

Hannah's is okay, I like it, but it's just a lot of fingers.

Susie, you know I was just goofing when I mentioned about your image.

I'll look for mine, it is cool that we had something different yet, close idea.

Mike - I know, I was being funny back.

Maybe my hand posing isn't so bad if you thought one was yours...

Here are two shots of the poses I was talking about.  I know I have a much better one of the hands on the waist, but it is currently lost in the depths of my back-up DVDs.  But this one will give you the gist of what I was describing.

cool thanks.
I like the hands at the waist, and to add color I can always add her bouquet at the other hip and then shoot at an angle across her hips so she looks really thin... lot's of possibilities.

No prob.  That's a good idea about the flowers.  Hadn't thought of that.  I think the shot needs more color too.  I'll have to try that next time. Smiley

Mike, I do like the dreamy-ness of yours.  The skin looks creamy.

And leave it to Benji to show us perfectly posed hands!   Clapping

This is NOT and excuse, and I don't deal with it every time, but do you guys ever notice that some people have really stiff hands?  They are so hard to work with, or you pose their hands and they move them back how they were like they can't hold it.  grrrr

I just tell them to relax, also, I'll show what I do with my hand, then, I'll gently squeeze the fingers together, by that time, they get it.

Thanks Susie

Nicely done Benji

I love Benji's, but am I the only one to think her hand looks, er, disembodied? Smiley

Comments and Harsh Critiques gladly accepted. My photos are ok to edit.

Oh yeah, perhaps it would have been better to show a sliver of her arm behind his, but it's nit picky and the vignette sorta draws you to the center without worrying what is on the edges... I think.
