Hello, I have just acquired a Metz 60 CT 1 with the battery pack but no battery charger and hey, after charging it for a little bit the flash works!
My problems: 1. I had to use a car battery charger to charge the battery (6V) to test the flash but would rather not do this more than the once that I already have. I don't want to ruin the battery much less have to babysit the battery to keep it from over heating.

So, does anyone know the second best way to approximate a charger for this? Second best because I don't want to pony up for the replacement OEM charger. And I would like to be able to use the flash in a portable studio setup- plugged into the wall when available.
2. I've checked the voltages on the net and they seem to be around 28.~V and my D200 should be good to 250V (eh-) so as the V isn't very close I think it will be alright to plug the PC cord into the D200 but if anyone knows different, please let me know asap!
3. I have downloaded a manual but either it's vague or I am- one or the other, If anyone has any experience with these please clue me in.
4. The battery will charge up enough for a couple of flashes but I don't know what the actual capacity of it is. (and don't want to drain it until I can find a solution for the charger issue) Would someone know what to set the switch inside the battery compartment of the shoulder pack if I put a gel-cell in there? The options are Nc, Dry and Pb. I'm guessing they stand for NiCad, Dry fit and Lead Acid. The battery I have is the Dry Fit and the pointer is set to Dry.
Thanks in advance,

mike
