I DID IT, I DID IT!

I finally captured a splash in a splash!!!

Water drop on black velvet.

1/200sec, f5.6, 200mm, shutter priority, 200 ISO

The second one is one I did on glass. I just wish that other big drop wasn't there. Tongue

Very cool!

I came across a series of images several years ago of water drops where they captured quite a few dops hitting drops.  Some of them looked like mushrooms.  I'll have to see if I can find it again...

Childhood memory time... one of the first non-snapshot photography "assignments" I did was trying to catch droplets with my dad when I was about 12. We tried all different types of liquids. Milk worked pretty well. Pancake syrup, not so much Cheesy Grin

Not to take anything away from your shot, but this is sort of what I was talking about earlier. It's not the same one though. The page I've seen in the past explains a lot about how the guy did it and how much time it took to get just one shot.

The image is one drop hitting the top of the splash from another drop.
