I seem to be on a roll

I know I got on here all excited about being published for the first time; and I appreciate everyone's support of it.  But now I have a cover as well.  It is for another metalworking magazine that has been published locally in AZ, NV, and NM; but is now starting a publication for UT, ID, and WY.  I was contacted by the publisher and asked to come up with a cover image for their very first volume of their new publication.  I was also hired to take photos to use in their featured article.  This is all very exciting to me and something I plan to pursue further in my future endeavors.  I realize that the images are not traditionally what is found on a forum because they are somewhat specialized to the metalworking industry, but you were all so supportive before that I couldn't help but share another little success with all of you.

I offered 3 images as possibilities for the cover, but this is the one that was chosen.

Thanks for looking,

Travis

Congrats Travis!  That's awesome, and although it's not the type of photography that's normally posted here it doesn't mean we can't appreciate it for what it is.  I think you did a great job and I am sure we will be seeing more of your work get published.

Good work getting selected for the cover!! It means they admire your work.  Commercial photography is one of the hardest skill sets to master, looks like getting your foot in the door might just earn you some much deserved extra income.

Congrats!!!

Good Job Travis, It's nice to see a magazine actually paying for a photographer these days.
