Trying my hand at Lucisart.

I figured I'd give it a shot. Kind of Toapaz-ish, but with less controls and options.

I heard about Lucas Arts, did you get a trial as well, or buy it.

Cool effect.
I wonder if the noise reduction is a bit much, I'm judging it by her hair.

Borrowed. I kinda like the effect, but I need more practice at using it. I'm not real crazy about their interface, it's just a little preview window like so many of these programs seem to use. I wish that they would preview the effect on the main image instead, or open into a larger window. Since I use two screen it would be nice to preview on one and keep the tool palette on the other screen like I do with PS.

I love the effect except on faces. What I usually do is create a layer then perform the "effect" on the layer. Then mask out the effects with a 20% brush the faces..

Yeah, that would probably help.  The under-eye darkness should be fixed.  Cute girl and costume though!!!

She looks  great, I don't care for soft (her legs) but that's me lots like it.

her wings look like something she's sitting in front of. The reason is they are square to the camera and she isn't.  The line from wingtip to wingtip should be the same as shoulder to shoulder. So for this shot you would have to skew them quite a bit to get the perspective right.

You did a good job creating them and if you still have the layer probably easy to move them around...

I have to start from scratch to do this shot again. The PSD file corrupted when I saved the final for some reason I still have the original raw shot, and a jpeg I saved first, but the big file is gone. Maybe the fact it was pushing 700 megs might have had something to do with it. I was seeing just how much I could add on anyway.

She clipped her own wings though when she borrowed my truck last night and ran it off a curve and into a tree. Driving to fast in the fog. Luckily she walked away unscathed. The truck is going to that big parking lot in the sky.
