What a ring light sorta contraption?  Is cash NOT a problem?

That blog also has a homemade pinhole camera (I know someone posted one of those before here).

Too much money, by the time one builds that contraption, they can have a really good set of studio lights. haha

I saw that on strobist. Kinda of a waste of money in my opinion. You could buy the flash and the power pack from alien bee and have a wad of cash left in your pocket. I like this idea better  http://www.orbisflash.com/

That site I gave was for a beauty dish, the site you gave was for a ring flash.  Smiley

I think buying the alien bee is more money is it not?

For tinkering, I think the beauty light is pretty good.

I'm thinking if I was going to go through the effort of mounting 12 flashes I'd at least use a metal frame and figure out some way to do it in a circle.  Could be a fun idea to play with though.  I've got 4 SpeedLites that maybe I should try a smaller scale version of this with.

Get an old chrome hubcap that is just a ring and mount to that.
