shooting a white canopy

I am shooting an image for an ad in a bridal magazine for another company.  The background will show a white canopy and then the foreground will have tables and chairs, probably with light colored linens.

What time of day would you shoot this?  I would prefer not to blow out the tent, although they want it bright white.

I don't normally get to choose the time of day when shooting weddings so I work with what I have, but in this situation the company is setting up everything whenever I want.

You can always bracket your shots and hdr merge them. The question to I ask myself is how do I want the shadows to lay out.

Start an hour after dawn.

the tent will get significantly brighter every little while. If the sky shows in the shot you will need less sun (earlier) if it doesn't it really is only important to get the shadows right (and bracket it for HDR for sure)

Hm, I'll have better luck shooting an hour before sun set.  There is a team of guys doing the set up, but they will need several hours and we can't leave anything over night, we aren't even staking the tent into the ground.
