There's A LOT of black going on. While using a black edged mirror with a black dress, you're going to lose a lot of definition. Also, it would have helped had you had some lighting to the front of her, giving the dress a bit more dimension as well. The reflection of the door really bothers me more than the straightness of the dress, and the square shape at the bottom of the dress makes it look like she's standing on it. Here's how it would've looked had you tweaked the dress, door, and lighting a bit.

I'm also not quite sure what that huge bit of black is to the right side of the image, so I got rid of that, too.

I'm wondering if you could get some moulding from the lumber store and make a frame around the mirror, as I did digitally. Heck, you could make several different kinds and attach them with velcro, changing them out as needed. Have some in silver, gold, fiery red, etc.
