Black Dress

learning experience, should have moved her to the right so that her curves would show on that side, the edge of the frame of the mirror is making her look straight on that side and we aren't seeing much of a reflection.

There's A LOT of black going on. While using a black edged mirror with a black dress, you're going to lose a lot of definition. Also, it would have helped had you had some lighting to the front of her, giving the dress a bit more dimension as well. The reflection of the door really bothers me more than the straightness of the dress, and the square shape at the bottom of the dress makes it look like she's standing on it. Here's how it would've looked had you tweaked the dress, door, and lighting a bit. Smiley I'm also not quite sure what that huge bit of black is to the right side of the image, so I got rid of that, too. Grin

I'm wondering if you could get some moulding from the lumber store and make a frame around the mirror, as I did digitally. Heck, you could make several different kinds and attach them with velcro, changing them out as needed. Have some in silver, gold, fiery red, etc.

This is the same mirror. I tried to show better what's behind it, it's not a door, it's a screen, the kind you change behind. It's there so you don't see the rest of my basement in the reflection.
The wall is pink which is why I usually always do this set black and white.
The mirror is dark brown wood.
I think you are right about needing more light and her dress, actually you made a lot of good points.

Smiley It was a fun photoshopping exercise for me. I could've done a better job on some parts, but I only had 15min. Tongue

Maybe you could drape different kinds of fabric over your folding screen. For dark outfits, you could put something lighter over it?
