One from Saturday . . .

We still have anywhere up to two feet of snow on the ground . . . I shot my second wedding of the year on Saturday.  This is going to be a busy, busy, year as a freelancer for me after having most of last year off . . .

Well with shots like this, you deserve to be busy... Intentional or no, blowing out the sky made the sign stand out more... Great job!!  To me, shots like this, that can't be planned but are just "discovered" during the shoot is what makes a photographer.

That is great you are going to be busy. Are you working for other photographers or just with your own business?
The location is cool. I love the sign. Does it look good in black and white? I know the sign is red and that's part of the appeal, but I think black and white could be a fun vintage-looking option.

Thanks to both of you for the compliments!

I am a little busier in my own work this, but a friends studio is really shorthanded.  They have given about 35 jobs for this year and I expect more!

Bob, the sky isn't really that blown . . . it's just a crappy Philly grey!  The "bloom" is from one of the Kevin Kubota actions that I used.  We didn't get to do much with this job.  Everything started late (of course!) and the girls were all cold.  This statue in The Center City section of Philly (15th and Arch) It is known as "Love Park" and there are always a lot skateboarders in the section right behing here.

Wow that's great. I am jealous. I would totally take on assignments if I could find them.

I have a love/hate relationship with overcast/grey skies, such nice soft light, but you have to be careful about getting the sky in the shot.
It works here though.

It is usually tough around here.  We don't get very blue skies with nice puffy white clouds.  It's either uniform grey or blue!
