My only problem with some of these, and others you have used it on, is that the whites become a yucky gray color. Love the green wall and the windows! Smiley

i try to elimate the skies and only do objects as much as i can.

if i wanted to take the time i could swap out the skies in elements but we do so much shooting that we really hate post processing and the less the better.

thats why i like the nik filters, they are quick to use , i have swapped out skies from time to time but its really not worth the time for us......

Have you tried doing layers, and then erasing back the sky?

Just curious EVERY photo you post is a simulated HDR, ever tried shooting one for real?
after you merge them you can take the best sky and pop it in with almost no work.

If I'm shooting and notice the range is more than 8 stops I just push a button and turn a wheel, and shoot, then put it back. (then shoot a photo of my foot, which designates the end of a series)

actually im not sure how many were or werent simulated hdr i posted as i usually just post what i like.... i do use the nik filters all the time though...

sometimes my regular photos tend to look hdr like.

i like nice vivid, kind of looking thru an open window look style photos.

quite frankly the scenes never look the way they do in real life so i make them look the way i would want them to.

after all how many of the same shots of nyc do we need as an example of the same scenes, so i enjoy adding a little flair to them.

we also like bringing out great detail in our photos and i think that can make it look a little hdr like.

ill post some which are not hdr simulated but you may think they were from the look but they had nothing more then contrast, saturation and brightness raised or lowered in spots.

yes , its just soooo time consuming since marilyn and i shoot hundreds of photos a week,,,  ill bother doing that with only the very very few keepers ...most of the time i wont go to such great lengths. in fact most of the time the hdrs are batched and run through with just a middle of the road setting .  if we like it we keep it other wise we delete it.

I do the same thing with the Seattle Space Needle. Smiley
