Still have a film camera?

Was digging through my camera bags last week to find batteries and came across a film camera that I hadn't touched in years. It's a Canon Elan 7e. Great little camera, and actually got used more than the EOS 1v I had at the same time. The 1v got sold when I shifted to digital, the Elan was kept.

Any of y'all have a film camera you just can't bring yourself to get rid of? It's tough for me to get rid of the last film camera b/c I have such strong memories of throwing sheets of transparency film out onto a light board. Heck, I even like the smell of film.

I have a VERY old Minolta film camera, solid metal body, totally manual.

I'm not fond of the developer smell, it reminds me of all those x-rays I developed over the years. Smiley I'm glad medical imaging has gone digital, too!

I have a Nikon FM-10 (the "student camera") and a N70 No plans to sell them.

Nikon F1 with a light meter viewfinder, 50MM 1.4, 135MM 2.8, 500MM 8. mirror, and a 1.4x converter.  Came with a bag of goodies too!  I just bought this from a friend about 4 months ago.  Yes, I've put some film through it already.  The meter doesn't work so I'm thinking about looking for a new one, but the glass is all in perfect condition and the camera does what it needs to as well.  Very cool toy I think!

I also still have my old Nikon N80 and a Kodak Brownie.  Hoping to someday own a freaky flex in 4x5 or 8x10, haven't decided which yet... I'm sure it'll come to me when I decide to get serious about buying one.

Digital's are still my day-to-day users, but the film is just too much fun to get rid of.  I don't do any of my own processing, so the chemicals don't bother me a bit.  I still love the anticipation of waiting to get back my proofs... digital stole that from us.  Call me sentimental... I miss that part of photography.

I still have a pair of Pentax K1000's and a Calumet 4x5. One of the Pentax's and a 50mm lens stay in the car with a couple rolls of film all the time in case I see something interesting.

To even further my recent re-addiction to film, I bought a film processor on eBay this past weekend and spent last week building out a small darkroom in a corner of the barn.
