Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8 D for sale
« on: May 17, 2007, 08:59:45 AM »
3 weeks ago I purchased this lens brand new for $1200 CDN (including extra lens hood) and have decided not to keep it as it isn't really a fit for my lightweight fast moving shooting style. I have used it for parts of one (1) Love Story Session last week - and that is it. It is an excellent performer and focuses fast - not likely quite as fast as the 70-200VR (which costs $2100 CDN) - but plently fast for anything I did with the Love Story. It is big, impressive looking, and heavy (no more than the 70-200VR) - and a bargain if you want this type of lens and don't want to spend big bucks for a lens that will be no sharper, but with have VR and slightly faster and quieter Autofocus because of the built in motor, in the 70-200VR.

I would like $800 CDN plus whatever the ground shipping fee would be (I use Xpresspost). Payment will be by Paypal or Credit Card through Paypal. You can email me at robertwatcher@inbox.com

Would you be interested in selling the extra lens hood? I use that lens for shooting dance in low light conditions and it works well.

Bob,

For some reason, this ad just caught my attention as well . . . did you notice that it is over a year old!  I have a family member looking for the this lens, but I assumed that Robert had sold it.
