300mm laptop stand

Got a kick out of this picture and had to post it.

Somewhere I read that you can tell the level of a photographer by the way they treat their gear. An amateur will miss a shot because they're worried about getting their camera scratched. A pro will get the shot and worry about the gear later.

Don't know how much I agree with that statement, but it does fit the image pretty well.

To the hobby shooter, their camera gear is an investment that will depreciate with every scratch or scuff.
To the pro the camera gear is a business expense. The "shot" pays the bills, if it costs a tool it costs a tool.

To the hobby wood worker, that $500 band saw is oiled and cleaned after every use. (might be months between) its a prize possession.

To the cabinet shop, that same saw gets parts when they wear out. Its a tool just like a hammer.

I just think that he is taking a (time lapse) close-up shot of the pavement and he is keeping the camera steady by using the weight of the lap top. Yeah, I'm sure that's what he's doing. LOL

Yes. Yes, that must be it.

Maybe there's an ant under there, too!
