Black-crowned Night Heron
« on: May 22, 2007, 10:58:20 PM »
During my model shoot at Queens Quay in Toronto, tuesday evening, this Black-crowned Night Heron was spotted. I couldn't resist, I had to have my wildlife shot which I haven't had in a long time.

At 200mm he wasn't very far away either. Good detail.

A pair of Yellow crown night herons have come back to a place where they nested last year, thats near my work. Can't wait to get over there.

Hey Bob
About 10 or so from it.
One thing, I could have used flashed, I don't like the look of flash, as to why I refused to use it. I like wildlife natural. ;)

Post the Yellow Crowns once you get them.

Very pretty bird, great feather detail!  Was your model jealous?

Great capture!

Just wondering did you add USM to this.  I am seeing a slight hallo around the edges especially on the upper beak and head.

Ah, no, it's straight out of camera.
It's the site, it cannot handle the normal size for web. So, it's my resize save as nonsense jpeg distruction routine. LOL
CS2, I don't use USM anymore. ;)

Thanks
