WordPress and drag-n-drop
« on: April 07, 2012, 02:04:13 PM »
Seems like WordPress has had one just killer feature, at least to me, in each of their last few updates. A couple releases ago they made it really easy to link between posts. 3.3 added a drag and drop target for uploading images, assuming your browser supports it.

The Flash uploader that WordPress had been using was pretty good, but just being able to drag and drop images is way better.

Nice update! I stopped using wordpress because my domain host, bluehost.com, kept detecting malware/viruses in the wordpress files and shutting down my site. Even after I deleted wordpress through their uninstall program, there were files left behind and even those became infected. Finally, I got on the phone with my host and they helped me through deleting all the tendrils of wordpress that had been left behind. No problems since. :P

That's a downside to WordPress being so insanely popular. It makes it a common target. Just like Windows is a more popular target for viruses than Macs. I've finally gotten to a point where I keep up to date on the latest version of WP.
