This is cool. Glad you used a black background

What a cool concept and such fun!! The angle of the photo bothers me, but otherwise I love it. :) Was there smoke coming out of the top that we can't see?

Agree about the angle. It's a bit too straight on for my tastes. I think a more downward angle would look better.

Also, and I don't know a good way to fix this, the blowout on the center takes away a bit. Maybe try metering for that and let the rest fall where it may?

Thanks guys.

On the original there is a screw top that I cloned out because it looked a little trashy. But I agree it does look like their should be smoke. I'm wondering if there would have been smoke if the bottle was really shaped like that. Maybe I could paint some in.

I didn't even notice the angle! Thanks for pointing that out.

I was struggling with the blowout the whole night. Most of them just turned out as a little glowing ball with no effects. The center is just so bright compared to the rest I was stumped as well.

Oh. When I shoot things like this at night my shutter speed changes itself automatically between exposures (yes, in Manual). Normally its not a big deal but when I am in a time crunch like i was for this shot its a real pain. Does anyone know why it does that?
