These eggs belong to a pair of geese that I have been following for the past three years.  Two of the three years I have managed to capture the hatchings including this year.  Here are some of the images captured less than three feet away.

The cute one is from a different hatching.  The last one I assume is the babysitter!

baby birds are cool (some are VERY ugly) but baby land birds are best followed closely by water birds.

The gosslings are cute but here they are so common its nothing new.

baby killdeer, now thats another story.. [grin]

What a fabulous series!  You are so lucky that the parents let you in that close, geese can be mean, but boy are their little ones cute.

Thanks Bob and Julita for your comments!

Bob yes some are quite ugly and I would love to be able to capture some of the other birds out there but I am limited!  I know the ducklings have arrived but I have not had time to get out to see any of them yet.  Hopefully by next week.

Julita,  The gesee here are very friendly can come up to us looking for food.  Some know which of have certain foods such as "Farmers Corn" which they love!

Again thank you both for having a look and for your comments!
