Aransas Pass Wildlife Refuge

We've driven by the Aransas Pass Wildlife Refuge probably 20 times and we finally stopped in on Monday.  A mid afternoon in June is not a good time to see animals in Texas, but we saw a few smaller ones.

The dragonfly is always a challenge.  I think frogs are more prone to sit perfectly still, pointing the wrong direction, longer even than turtles.

Yup, the frog did not move at all while we were there.  I thought for a while it might have been fake and planted there as a joke by one of the staff members.  But with alligators swimming around (didn't see any though) it would pay to stay as still as you can if you're a frog.

And you're right about the dragonfly.  That was one of about 30 shots I took of the same bug trying to get it to look right.

Ryan, good effort.
Your position of view could be better, it's a matter of moving slowly.
As for dragonflies, when they are in a sitting mood, when you move, they spook, but, they come back to their resting point.
Get closer. ;)
