that, to me, translates to "I have a different way of shooting portraits"

which you did well (I don't like the end of his belt, but I may be the only one that saw it)

Hi-

This is not a portrait- at least from a traditional point of view.  It is photo-art, an illustration or what ever you want to call it.  It has interesting content, well saturated colour and expresses a feeling or mood that is very dramatic-  It's nice and well crafted!  Skilfully exicuted!

Get used to it folks- many images are really created in Photosho or other computer driven programs.  This is by now means TRADITIONAL photography but is is a mixed medial type of photography. The final images is what counts.

I don't do this kind of work but I won't say I dont like it just because the imageging process is different.  I like portraits ergo- I am a portrait photographer!

Thank you Ed. Although most don't realize it. Art photography has always been that way. The fine art collectors of photography don't give a rip about how the image was created except how to best preserve it. What matters is the image (and a lot of times who created it)

To me a photo of a person is a portrait. I know technically thats not correct but thats the way my little mind sees it.

This looks like it should be on the cover of a CD.  With the pose, setting, and most of all the color it looks like it would be great for that; assuming the subject is the singer of course.  It's probably not what you were after, but it reminds me of that.

I think Ryan is trying to say this picture is fit for a rock star!

HDR is photographer  know this technique.

To me and most of us here in the US, HDR stands for "High Dynamic Range" if you are comparing your work to some person, please share his full name or web site.

I would be happy to list the people I try to copy but the list is so long you would quit reading it after only a few pages... [grin]
