it was a favor for a friend, but I broke several of my main rules.

Photos of children
Printed the photos directly out of the camera, no editing.

Put my ink jet printer (good not great) on two milk crates, set my netbook on top of it.
hooked my camera to the netbook and the printer.

Used Nikon camera control and faststone image viewer.
 
Take photo, camera control saves the photo to a folder on my hard drive.
go to the image viewer and click on the thumbnail and print it.

took a little less than 60 seconds to take the photo and print it.
(not going to share any of the kids, but here are the "hosts" of the 8 year old's birthday party. out of the camera, no editing *twitch*)

Don't see the need. The party is over. if someone wants to buy a bigger print I'll adjust the levels before I send it to the lab though.

I'm not putting these on my site, just gave a link to the images to the adults.

it was fun, but not something i would want to do often.
