Monstors are art, right??

Is this art or not?
if not what is it and why?

I say "art" but I'm close to the creators.

Hey Bob,

What one says "art" another will say no.
It's what you make it out to be, so, if it's art, then, it is.
It's that simple.

Cool concept

Make bubbles come out of the fish's mouth   Big Grin

Another idea, maybe putting her on a plant, a water level as in, view of the fish and view of her out of the water and the fish will appear to rise to get his food, the dragonfly.

Where'd you get the picture of the goby? Smiley

I like this one the best of your dragonfly lady pictures. Smiley Though I think you should do some subtle shading on the wings, so that they don't look flat.

got the photo here

great idea about the shadow, I think I need to blur her a bit and sharpen my "monster" a bit to make him look less like a fish.

picky stuff - her dress blends into the background a lot, the wing is clipped off because of the composition.  Other than that I don't really understand what you are going for.  Is she underwater?
BUT, that's what art is, something people can discuss, I guess.  Like Mike said - Art is what you make it to be.

What I was going for was the fish not to be a fish but a monster about to eat the fairy, I've some ideas that I'll try to impliment tonight. Thanks for the comments, these composit shots are fun to do but very hard to do well.

Hey Mike, I just thought if there was smoke comming out of the nose of the "monster" he wouldn't look like he was under water??

Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes.

I would put a fishing line in, and hook on her.
FISH ON!!!!!!!!!!

I like it better too, better composition.
If you don't want it to look like a fish you should remove the fins and/or change it's eyes.  I think it needs more PS work to not look like a fish.

Everyone on another board I post at says I should tie the fairy to a hook and run the line up off screen.

Good point about the fins, I'll tweak it a bit more.
