Newborn

A few from a recent newborn session.  Poor little guy cried the entire time...well, almost.

Cute, he doesn't look like he was crying...

lol   Cheesy

He sure was.  It the top pic, can you see how is face is a little red?  I tried to dodge it so it wouldn't be as red.

I really like the second one. It's a classic pose for a very good reason. Smiley

Beautiful Andrea.  Thanks for posting these.  I love the poses and the lighting.  I think they could be strengthened by making that baby naked... get rid of the diaper.  I don't know why, but that sure seems to make a difference in newborn photos, in my opinion.

Number two and three are the best in my opinion.
But why did the guy did not take off his t-shirt ? With a male this looks much better.

I prefer black and white or sepia, because you don't see the red cheeks of crying

Thanks.

Theo - dad wouldn't take his shirt off, I tried.  Smiley

Travis - baby just pooped, mom felt more comfortable leaving diaper on.  lol

I think it works. The diaper and shirt are both white.
It might be distracting if in fact he doesnt look so great w/o the shirt.

Perhaps an image like this is ideal without clothing on either party, but it's ultimately up the the client.  You can't wrestle them naked.

As hot as my husband is without a shirt  Smiley I wouldn't display a picture of him in my home without one (partially due to our religion), and baby pictures are the type I would intend to display.  That being said, I don't mind naked babies... so it's all choice.  I would expect a photographer to respect my wishes if I were paying them for photographs.
