Bob, that first one is my favorite of all you've done EVER. My only nitpick is the shadow on her chin, and the fact that the lightening hasn't reacted any bright areas on her body. This is an amazing piece and one that really tells a story while remaining beautiful at the same time.

Now, for the next one, eek. To be honest, I'm not crazy about the second one. I don't like the cutout in the leaf, which makes it obvious her her foot isn't really on the leaf (it would be fuller under there), nor do I like how her face turned out. It looks, um, pudgy/dragged down. The hair on the top of her head is also too high, making her look like her head is elongated. Not your best work, and certainly nowhere close to the beautiful image of the first one. Is that outfit of hers drawn on the computer? The edges are too sharp. Try running a low opacity blur tool along the edge. Not really sure about the wing, either, as I can't tell where it's originating from on her body. If I follow the contour lines, it's coming out of her entire back.

I was worried the edges of the part of her clothing I drew wouldn't be sharp enough. Tried to draw seams but they would have been too small to see anyway. Her outfit for both was a black bikini. Her hair was hard to do. Need a lot more practice drawing hair on people.

didn't really change anytthing about her face, perhaps the darker color contributed? [shrug]

thanks!!

The first one is pretty cool. I have to agree with Marian on the second one.
