Not sure I've shared this before, fun shot.
The goal is if people complain it made them a bit dizzy...

scroll down.

I've done several of these, this one is not my best just the first one I found.

Awesome, that's cool.  You could print it horizontal.  It would be like the doppler effect  Big Grin

That is really quite fun Bob.  I'm going to try it as well, thanks for the cool idea.

Interesting photo, did you do it manually? I noticed the lower part of the photo has slight rail mismatch...

Did you take the photos from the side or between the rails?

good catch. its about 8 photos stitched together. The trick is holding the camera far enough in front not to get your toes and then taking a step forward turn around an shoot the rest holding the camera upside down.

Did you stich the photos manually with photoshop?

I belive its possible to do it automatically together with perspective correction...

Canon has the best stitch, it's the editing software program you get with the camera.
We did an experiment in college, canon's handled the stitching the best, photoshop was good as well.

Mike, that's seriously cool, did you just run out and do it?  wow.

I was thinking of trying a stitched pano in a field but just turning all the way around and then stitching them so it goes in a circle...  it's hard to explain.  Someone with more time than me should go try it though  Big Grin

A 360 pano, that would be cool. Use a tripod with a leveler.

I went out this afternoon just before dinner. This is a four image stitch.

Geez guys, I think I should have put my beer(s) down before logging on here tonight.  J/K, but I feel like I've had a few now.  Try scrolling up and down quickly to get the best effect Smiley.

If anyone has a tripod with a center column that can be removed and replaced horizontally, you could do that I think.  Then you could level the legs, hang the camera out over the tracks (or whatever), and start taking your images that way.  This would give you a better support, and the ability to level everything which is a HUGE benefit when stitching images together.

A spirit level helps a lot with panoramics.  It's a little level that clicks into the flash shoe. That way you know your camera is level, and not just the tripod.
