I was thinking of trying a stitched pano in a field but just turning all the way around and then stitching them so it goes in a circle...  it's hard to explain.  Someone with more time than me should go try it though 

Geez guys, I think I should have put my beer(s) down before logging on here tonight.  J/K, but I feel like I've had a few now.  Try scrolling up and down quickly to get the best effect .

If anyone has a tripod with a center column that can be removed and replaced horizontally, you could do that I think.  Then you could level the legs, hang the camera out over the tracks (or whatever), and start taking your images that way.  This would give you a better support, and the ability to level everything which is a HUGE benefit when stitching images together.
