This photo wasnt as interesting in color, so I was messing with it, and found I liked it in B&W.
Still interested in how you think Im doing on the conversion piece.
Whatever other comments are also welcome though.

I should mention that I am on an uncalibrated monitor right now, it may be a bit dark.

Where is the rest of the photo, you might be able to add some interest by changing the crop.

I like the idea but the drink is the center of attention, not her.

That may have been the intent.

I didnt crop it much. It is as I framed it in camera for the most part.
Part of the reason I dont like the color version is that there is another shooter, who, at the time I snapped this photo, had her camera's little red light beam pointed in the subjects face. So the color is all jacked up. And like a party girl on vacation, I only took one frame. (I was on vacation, for the record)
But I like the contradiction of subject dressed a bit good girl like, sipping on a HUGE margarita, sort of daydreaming.

Yay! I can be taught!
As soon as Susie said there were no crisp whites, I remembered the step I left out.

I'm sure everyone will yawn but try putting the color back in the drink.

That could be cool.
