Printing question

So... I have a project that requires an image be printed on something that's 1/16th of an inch thick, and my printer specs say it'll print up to 1.5mm. Think I can get away with it? It is only 0.08mm thicker than the limit.

My printers tend to lose quality printing on heavy paper.  I'd image it'd get even worse going above the specs.  What about printing it normally and then mounting it to something that's about 1/16" thick?

The card of those puzzles is springy enough I wouldn't think it would hurt your printer.

It wouldn't hurt to send an email to Epson's technical support.

Pay attention to how hard the feed motor works and do any of the gears "click"

Cool.  You've got to let how know how this works out.  Sounds like something I'd like to try.

Well, there's good news, and bad news. The good news is that the printer handled the thickness just fine. The bad news is that the surface doesn't take up the ink well at all. Images are very blurry. According to the manufacturer, it doesn't do well with pigment based inks. Pththth.

WAIT!!!! I just tried printing my drawings on it, and it worked great!! Whoo hooo!! I'm back in business.
