Real time Google Analytics

I had read posts about this coming, but I finally got the email yesterday that real time analytics was enabled on my Google Analytics account.

It's a bit underwhelming that the most I've ever seen online at any one of my sites is 5, but the screen shots Google put out only show 30 so I guess 5 isn't that bad for my little corner of the web. The one below is really sad with only 2, especially considering one of them is me Cheesy Grin

The page is supposed to pick up visitors within a few seconds of hitting the site, and playing around a bit that appears pretty accurate.

Really digging the new Analytics interface. I switched to play around with the real time stuff, but having something new to explore has given me an excuse to play around with stuff I've missed.

Came across advanced segments this morning. It lets me break down the stats by pretty much whatever criteria I want. The screen shot below is the main site (www and no-www version), two different subdomains, and one folder of the main. Just added the subdomains to this Analytics profile so there's no data yet, plus they're pretty inactive overall anyway. But it's cool to be able to see it broken down like that, plus the segments carry over to any page.

Wow, we're sitting at 11% mobile visitors to this site. Guess it's about time to kick out a mobile theme...
