My only nitpick is that the tree isn't quite center but isn't quite off center either. But all is forgiven because it is such a stellar image. I don't know if it was how you captured it or post production but it's gorgeous.
Wonderful colors, great composition, strong impact... I don't know what to critique as far as the image itself. It truly is beautiful
I'm going to risk saying something stupid and go out on a limb here, however... I think your photoshopping/artwork needs to be a little more consistent with nature. After studying the photo, and knowing a little about reflections, something didn't seem right. I am guessing you added all the yellows and oranges to the image. This is fine, but it needs to be in the same relative position in both the sky and the reflection in the water in order to be believable.
I think the position of the sun is correct. If he were to go stand on the spot in the water where the sun's reflection is, I bet he'd see it between the branches of the trees, not above it. The fact that he's standing back away from that spot, moves the sun above the tree in his view, but still in the branches in the water's view.

Yeah, you're probably right. It seemed like everything else was acting more like the exact mirror of the top half of the image in the reflection, but as I look at it more I think you're right. Interesting...
It's still a cool photo, so please don't take me wrong Dave. I really do like it.
Hey, Susie just told me I need a Midol. I've been talking with her today and apparently I'm in a grouchy mood. She told me I was acting like I was mad at her, and I'm not.
So... I'm sorry for coming across rude or mean or overly nitpicky or generally like an @$$. I'll leave you all alone here for now, until I can communicate in a more professional manner.
Again, I'm sorry Dave (I assume that's your name).
Sorry for the delay in replying, just got back. First of all Travis - no problem whatsoever friend, no offence at all. Well, thanks very much for the generous comments! It is a favourite of mine, made from a single raw file and hdr software. It looked a lot different before the pp and while I am never fully happy with my work, I liked the result here.
