Retouched portrait

Been practicing my skin retouching on this one. Obviously looks better on the high res original. Quite pleased though, and NO blurring at all, just healing and dodge & burn, what do you think?

The skin tones look good.  Can we see the original so we know all that you have done as far as retouching goes?  Did you burn in the background?  It appears to have an 'edited' edge to it around the back of her head.  It's not bad, but a potential improvement.  I wish we could see more separation of her hair and the background on the right side of the image instead of it all falling to blackness, same with the elbow and hand.

Ok this is the original for comparison, the fading to blackness was intentional and in my opinion works. You and of course everyone else are entitled to disagree - which is good, if we all liked and disliked the same images there would be no need for forums  Smiley

Not sure if you can tell the extent of the work at this res, but it took about 2 1/2 hours. As i said, there were no "quick fix" blurring techniques used. all the pores and details remain. I hate plastic skin and there's plenty about!

The skin looks good. I don't know about changing the hair color though.

Thanks, the model changed her hair colour 2 days after the shoot and requested it :-)

Nice job on the skin! I'm seeing a little schmutz by the knuckles of her hand, though. Smiley

That falls under the good reason category.
