All natural lighting.  The main light was daylight from camera left, the kicker coming in from behind her at camera right was daylight squeezing through a narrow alley.

The second shot is a jump shot.

Fun jump shot, but strange expression, LOL. Kids will be kids, I guess.

The crotch area ruins the first picture for me, unfortunately, with the pooching out of the pants and her hands surrounding the area saying "look at me." Tongue Otherwise, the lighting is very soft and pretty, love her hair blowing in the wind. Not sure yet about the burning of the bottom of the frame, though.

Is that a Guitar Hero guitar?  LOL, love it.
Pretty lighting on the first one.  I agree about the crotch.  Cropped as a head and shoulders image it's really fantastic.

Didn't notice the jeans until it was brought up, but now that I've noticed it it really bothers me.  I think the darkening on the bottom is a little overdone as well.

I like the second.  It looks like she was having a lot of fun.

Three minutes in Photoshop and the area in question won't be noticed at all.

I like the first one, I think it captures the true Sara.

Her facial expression in the second one scares the hell out of me.  Cool shot but I can't get past the facial expression.

If I had to guess I'd say that she's not used to jumping in the air and giving a good smile at the same time. I can't say that I'd do any better.

Guitar Hero face?

Benji, something to think about. Seeing that brick wall reminded me of something one of the guys that shoots outdoor glamor a lot said about natural light. "All you need is something white or light colored to put a catch light in your models eyes. Look around and pay attention, is there a building, a sidewalk something else that if you move your position a bit your shots would be better?"

(that was a quote as close as I remember it. Has NOTHING to do with your shots) Its just a reminder to us all of yet one more thing we should keep in mind... [grin]

This is Tennessee, pretty much everything that isn't blacktop is green. [grin]

I spent my three minutes on it!  (I replaced the original above.)

Nicely done, Benji.

Really, I really need to know something, "Pickiness" is in? If so, get ready.  Big Grin

I agree, there is a lot of pickiness on this forum, especially about things that can be "fixed" later in PS, rather than getting them right in camera.  You can get frustrated with it, or just ignore it.

Regardless, I think the comments on her jeans weren't super nitpicky, even if it wasn't something that could be fixed before, because of the nature of jeans, it still was sorta strange to look at.  The image was great, other wise, nice lighting and expression, those things were complimented.

I personally appreciate when others point out what I could do better in an image, it helps me learn.  Sometimes I think what other's point out are nitpicky things I couldn't have helped in the image, I ignore that (or try to), and mixed in will be little pieces of valuable information.  Everyone sees different things and will notice things I missed.  I have learned a lot on this site and if it turns into a place where everyone is afraid to comment honestly about what they see I will be very dissapointed.  It is up the poster of the image to decide if the opinions shared are valuable to them, other than that, perhaps it's not productive to belittle other's comments.

Had this been a guy I would have asked him if I could flatten it out, but I'm not touching a women in this area, even if she said OK (which she would not!)
