Tea for one

This was a candid taken at a park in Sheffield, it was taken in bright sunshine but didn't take much pp to get to this.

Very nice, Dave.  It's a very impactful image.

Do you have a little detail in the gentleman's sleeve (left, in the shadow) that you can bring back?  Right now, you almost lose the arm from the shoulder down, and then it pops back in on the table.  This is also leaving a couple odd disconnected brighter shapes that, although we know what they are, are still somewhat disconnected.  I would like to see this image with just a touch of subtle detail in the shadows of his clothing and face.  Also, can you get rid of the solid black in between his fingers.  The black definitely contributes to the feeling in this image, but that some detail in the shadows will keep a better continuity of shape and form, and further define the character of this individual.

The blacks in the background and under the table work I think.  They provide the balance necessary for making the highlights really come alive the way they do.

Just my thoughts.
