Testing in multiple versions of IE

While trying to figure out why some of y'all are having disappearing text problems with the new theme I found a program called Multiple IE that lets you install version 3.01, 4.01, 5.01, 5.5, and 6.01 of Internet Explorer along side version 7.0 on your computer.

Two catches.  One, it doesn't work on Vista.  When I tried to run it on my Vista notebook it threw and error.  Two, running on my XP desktop threw and error too, but I could move that error box out of the way and keep using the older versions.  The Vista error keeps the older version of IE from coming up at all.

So Mike, seriously, Mac's never have problems?  Why?  I can't fathom a world where computer problems don't plague my life!

I know I kid around, but seriously, I prefer my Mac over my P.C. by a long shot.

So much nicer to work with, for photos, it's the main use, photoshop sweetly works nicely.

What Ryan is doing is a p.c. thing, Vista has been a problem from the get go. Many are staying with XP until it is obsolete.

Macs are superior for the graphics, sound, music, videos end of things.
As for all other data, it's fine, but, it wants to work.

OK, so this is coming from someone on a PC, but...

I have yet to meet anyone that owns a MAC that would even consider going back to a PC.  I have every intention of NEVER buying another PC myself.  I use them at work because it's required for the software that we use, but even that is quickly becoming a thing of the past with each new MAC upgrade.  The only use for PC's anymore is for serious gamers.  At least that seems to be the way of things currently.

As for Vista, I won't even touch it.  And hopefully will never have to.  I have heard nothing but bad stuff about it.  The writers of PC Magazine rate Mac at the top of every one of their reviews, and not a single one of them stuck it out with Vista for more than a month before switching back to XP.

Great Job Microsoft!  Way to outmode yourself!!!

You know those TV commercials with the young hip guy making fun of the old stale boring guy; that commercial is way too true to life in today's world of Mac vs. PC.

Very unsatisfied PC owner,

Yeah, I haven't touched Vista either.

I was at Best Buy the other day to buy some CD's and they had a big display of Mac's and they had some awesome monitors, and a video going on them that said "Why Mac?" and I was slowly becoming sold while watching it.  My husband ushered me out shaking his head.  We are fastly approaching the need for a new computer, ours is paid off now, which means it is old right?  Anyway I am going to have to become a lot more educated about how I can transition over, I guess.

Travis,

Funny you mentioned gaming

On the radio, a guy was talking about mac and p.c. his negative about mac was, "Yeah, I went to buy some games for mac, I bought all kinds, such as this and... well, I guess only one, I have a lot for my p.c."

I had to laugh, "Yeah, that's right, P.C.s are to play with and Macs are to work with." I had a good laugh, I wonder if he heard himself talking.

Wow, talk about your threads going off topic Cheesy Grin

I keep going back and forth on Mac v. PC.  Right now I've got 3 computers; 1 Vista notebook, 1 XP desktop, and 1 Linux server.  But I really want a Mac Air notebook.

That's the easy part.  I have ways used only for special occasions like convincing  Smiley

Mac Air makes me drool.  I am currently lugging my laptop the size of a headstone to meetings with clients.
