Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share a short Texture Tutorial. It seems it's the newest "fad", and actually, I really love the result. In the following tutorial, I am using textures from Jesh De Rox (who had record breaking WPPI wins at last years contests). Not to say this in any way comes close to his work, which is truly incredible.
There are several free places to get textures. Try:
www.textureking.com Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy the tutorial, and I hope to see photos you texturize in this thread. Don't be afraid to pile on the textures. Sometimes it's really cool, and the clients seem to love them.
1. Open the image you want to use:

2. Open the texture you want to use. Remember, if it has a color tone, that will show through. If you like the texture, but not the color, just desaturate the texture image.

3. Drag you new texture over the image you want to use. ( Shift/Drag will position it in the middle. You might need to use transform on some smaller texture images to make it the right size)

4. Now, make sure you are still on the texture image layer, and use the lighting draw down box to choose how you want things. Scroll through using your +/- keys to easily toggle through your options. I chose "overlay"
