The Blacksmith

Went on an outing with the Houston Photographic Society to the George Ranch historical site yesterday. Met a nice kid working at the blacksmith shop, Neal Nesbitt. It's kind of refreshing to see someone so young taking up a craft that is so old and keeping it alive. Good practice for an editorial series too.

John, these are fantastic, especially the posed portrait. I hope you have his contact email and will be sending them to him!

I wonder how that last one would look in black and white or sepia?

Yes, and he already has them. B&W looks like this. I already had a conversion done but I wanted the series done in color to reinforce the idea that is an old art in the modern era.

If you want modern, do an HDR treatment on it! *runs*
